Kaufman Economic Development Corporation


The Kaufman Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit economic development corporation governed by Section 4A of the Development Corporation Act. The purpose of this Corporation is to promote, assist, and enhance economic development in accordance of the laws. Qualifications considered are the individual's experience, accomplishments and educational background to ensure that the interests and concerns of all segments of the community are considered. The Board also develops an overall economic plan for the City, which will include and set forth intermittent and/or short-term goals.

Purpose

The purpose of this corporation is to oversee the use of economic development sales tax revenues for the purpose of creating jobs in Kaufman. They maintain a separate website, offering useful information for businesses planning to expand or relocate in Kaufman.
