The Kaufman Police Department is staffed by 19 sworn Police officers, 2 reserve police officers, 5 dispatchers, 1 animal control officer, and 1 secretary who are dedicated to serving the citizens of Kaufman. Our staff takes great pride in being a member of a professional organization that is highly trained and motivated to serve the community. Our continued partnership with the community has made Kaufman a great place to live and work and we look forward to improving the quality of life in our great city.
The goal of the Kaufman Police Department is to protect life and property while preserving public peace through innovative crime prevention methods such as the implementation of Neighborhood Crime Watch and Business Crime Watch programs that have made Kaufman a better place to live and do business.
